Im Folgenden finden Sie einen \u00dcberblick \u00fcber die verschiedenen Forschungsthemen, an denen die Gruppe arbeitet. Am prominentesten sind die direkte Suche nach dunkler Materie mit dem XENONnT-Experiment und die Arbeit an COSI \u2013 einem Compton-Imager-Satelliten f\u00fcr MeV-Gammastrahlen. elektromagnetischen Spektrums. Die Empfindlichkeit aktueller Missionen ist um Gr\u00f6\u00dfenordnungen schlechter als in benachbarten B\u00e4ndern, was auf hohe instrumentelle und atmosph\u00e4rische Hintergr\u00fcnde, niedrige Wechselwirkungsquerschnitte und die inh\u00e4rente Schwierigkeit der Bildgebung bei diesen Energien zur\u00fcckzuf\u00fchren ist. Es bleibt ein \u00e4u\u00dferst interessanter Bereich, der die Positronenvernichtungslinie, Signaturen der stellaren Nukleosynthese, Emissionen aus den extremsten Umgebungen und Multi-Messenger-Astrophysik beherbergt.   In unserer Gruppe arbeiten wir am <a href=\"https:\/\/cosi.ssl.berkeley.edu\/\">Compton Spectrometer and Imager (COSI)<\/a> \u2013 einer Mission, die sich der Erforschung dieses Energiebereichs Ein kryogener Vorratstank erm\u00f6glicht die sichere Aufbewahrung des Xenons sowohl im fl\u00fcssigen als auch im gasf\u00f6rmigen Zustand. Das K\u00fchlsystem basiert auf einem thermoakustischen Pulsrohrk\u00fchler mit fl\u00fcssigstickstoffgest\u00fctztem Backup. Die Reinigung erfolgt im Gaszustand mit einem speziell entwickelten W\u00e4rme\u00fcbertrager, wodurch der K\u00fchlbedarf um bis zu 90\u202f% reduziert wird. Ein schnelles R\u00fcckgewinnungssystem gew\u00e4hrleistet einen sicheren Betrieb und eine effiziente Handhabung des Xenons. Somit sind die erlernten Techniken auch auf eine Vielzahl anderer Experimente anwendbar,<\/strong> <strong>nicht nur auf die, an denen wir in der Gruppe arbeiten.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-big-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Interessierte Studierende sollten \u00fcber Grundkenntnisse in <strong>objektorientierter Programmierung<\/strong>, fortgeschrittene Kenntnisse in der Programmierung<strong>, <\/strong>und zumindest Grundkenntnisse in C++ verf\u00fcgen. Vorkenntnisse in Detektorphysik sind hilfreich, aber nicht zwingend erforderlich. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-big-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">Das Projekt ist f\u00fcr kleine Gruppen von 2 Studierenden gedacht. Der Zeitrahmen des Projekts betr\u00e4gt zwei Wochen f\u00fcr die Implementierung der Simulation in unserer Gruppe, gefolgt von weiteren zwei Wochen f\u00fcr die Analyseaufgaben. Das Experiment verwendet 5,4 Tonnen fl\u00fcssiges Xenon als Streuziel, um nach dunkler Materie zu suchen, beispielsweise nach dem Weakly Interacting Massive Particle. Die Empfindlichkeit aktueller Missionen ist um Gr\u00f6\u00dfenordnungen schlechter als in benachbarten B\u00e4ndern, was auf hohe instrumentelle und atmosph\u00e4rische Hintergr\u00fcnde, niedrige Wechselwirkungsquerschnitte und die inh\u00e4rente Schwierigkeit der Bildgebung bei diesen Energien zur\u00fcckzuf\u00fchren ist. Es bleibt ein \u00e4u\u00dferst interessanter Bereich, der die Positronenvernichtungslinie, Signaturen der stellaren Nukleosynthese, Emissionen aus den extremsten Umgebungen und Multi-Messenger-Astrophysik beherbergt. Wir nutzen sie, um Technologie f\u00fcr zuk\u00fcnftige Detektoren f\u00fcr dunkle Materie zu entwickeln. Ein kryogener Vorratstank erm\u00f6glicht die sichere Aufbewahrung des Xenons sowohl im fl\u00fcssigen als auch im gasf\u00f6rmigen Zustand. Das K\u00fchlsystem basiert auf einem thermoakustischen Pulsrohrk\u00fchler mit fl\u00fcssigstickstoffgest\u00fctztem Backup. Die Reinigung erfolgt im Gaszustand mit einem speziell entwickelten W\u00e4rme\u00fcbertrager, wodurch der K\u00fchlbedarf um bis zu 90\u202f% reduziert wird. Ein schnelles R\u00fcckgewinnungssystem gew\u00e4hrleistet einen sicheren Betrieb und eine effiziente Handhabung des Xenons. Unsere Gruppe wird mit Unterst\u00fctzung des PRISMA Detectorlab eine Compton-Kamera mit CeBr<sub>3<\/sub>- und Plastikszintillatoren mit hoher r\u00e4umlicher Aufl\u00f6sung und Zeitaufl\u00f6sung entwickeln, wobei Silizium-Photomultiplier-Arrays (SiPM-Arrays) zur Auslesung und speziell entwickelte Elektronik zum Einsatz kommen. Im Erfolgsfall k\u00f6nnten solche Technologien auch f\u00fcr die Sortierung und Charakterisierung von radioaktiven Abf\u00e4llen relevant werden. \u00c4hnliche Technologien werden f\u00fcr das Somit sind die erlernten Techniken auch auf eine Vielzahl anderer Experimente anwendbar,<\/strong> <strong>nicht nur auf die, an denen wir in der Gruppe arbeiten.<\/strong><\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p class=\"has-big-font-size\">Interessierte Studierende sollten \u00fcber Grundkenntnisse in <strong>objektorientierter Programmierung<\/strong>, fortgeschrittene Kenntnisse in der Programmierung<strong>, <\/strong>und zumindest Grundkenntnisse in C++ verf\u00fcgen. Vorkenntnisse in Detektorphysik sind hilfreich, aber nicht zwingend erforderlich. <\/p>\n<!-- \/wp:paragraph -->\n\n<!-- wp:paragraph -->\n<p class=\"has-big-font-size\">Das Projekt ist f\u00fcr kleine Gruppen von 2 Studierenden gedacht. Der Zeitrahmen des Projekts betr\u00e4gt zwei Wochen f\u00fcr die Implementierung der Simulation in unserer Gruppe, gefolgt von weiteren zwei Wochen f\u00fcr die Analyseaufgaben.
